I know, I know, I'm posting again with trashy Korean pop.
But dude, c'mon, I'm in love with this one right now and I'm thinking that anyone who loves Lady Gaga would love it too.
ANYONE WANT TO TEST MY THEORY???

Before I get with it, I must show off this fabulous song that was pointed out to me by someone on my friend's list... I can't remember who, but... THANK YOU.
Anyways, getting with my list... All of the following are trashy Korean pop. If that's not your thing just... move along. I'm sorry.

So... Yeah, that's it. It's about 1:30am. I should go sleep now...

Give me a ticket to the tropics and I'll have a bag packed in five minutes. Fuck the snow.
I live in Manitoba. It can get up to 40C in the summer and can get down to -40C (not including windchill) in the winter. Snow sticks around usually from late October to mid-to-late March, though this year we didn't get snow that stuck until the end of November - and it hasn't really snowed since.
Though my mind may be blown by not having snow for winter - I think I could get the hang of nice warm tropical weather in the middle of January ;)
When it gets to the desperately cold January - February -55C with windchill temps we break out the Beach Boys CD and listen to 'Kokomo' repeatedly...
Until we get to that time we're resorting to listening to Bollywood and Arabic tunes which makes us think of nice warm places where there isn't any snow.
... Does that answer the question? I think it does.

Bought Nintendo DS lites with radixiscat as each other's X-mas gifts. And Pokemon Platinum, Pearl, and Diamond. This was probably a huge mistake.

| Strange things are afoot |
[17 Dec 2009|02:23pm] |
One of the creepiest things that ever happened to me happened just the other night. To start off with, I had some weird ass dream about someone killing babies. It was not a pleasant dream and I jolted awake in the middle of it. I needed to pee so I got up and headed for our bathroom. Right in front of the window near the bathroom I stumbled over a shoe and had to brace myself with my hand next to the window. This window has two broken slats on the blinds covering it, so as I glanced up I had a good view of the backyard.
At first I could see a group of people hanging out back in the woods behind and to the side of the big storage building. I could see fairly clearly that it was people and not just branches moving oddly because there's a light back there and they were right under it. Then I saw someone walking up the path in the side yard towards the group. This drew my attention closer, to our car parked on this side of the building. It was in shadows, but I could see two people sitting on the trunk of our car and then another couple crouched down next to it. I got really freaked out and I still felt kind of groggy so I woke Dustin up and told him there were people by our car in the backyard.
Dustin got up and looked out the other window. Then he flipped on the big light in our backyard and looked again. There was no one on our car, but I could still see the group of people moving around in the woods. Dustin couldn't see anyone and told me no one was there. I got really upset and said I could still see people in the woods and he looked again and didn't see anyone. It was at that point that I got a little hysterical. I started crying and felt really scared. Dustin laid down with me and asked if I wanted him to go out back to look around, and I got even more upset and didn't want him going out there AT ALL.
I finally calmed down and was able to get back to sleep. Dustin said I was probably still kind of asleep, but I've never had that happen before. Usually if I am awake I don't see dream stuff. And they were so clear. It wasn't like a shadow that looked like it was moving. It was clearly people and I could even see what they were wearing. When we got up in the morning it was still kind of dark outside and I looked out back. There is a streetlight on the other side of those trees, and I could see it very clearly. It was not the light that I had seen when I saw the group of people; there was NO light anywhere near where I remember the light being.
I don't know what the hell happened, and I felt better about it in the morning, but I still remember what I saw very clearly and I feel slightly uneasy about it for some reason.

| Oh hai pretty boys and sparkles! |

Separate boys and sparkles. (I haven't fallen into Twilight fandom unless you count getting a kick out of the vids. ;D)
But I have fallen for some more pretty vampire boys. I am shamelessly enjoying The Vampire Diaries, which, not exactly shocking since I do own all four of the original books. Somewhere in my house. But I have no memory of what happened in them, because high school is getting to be a pretty long time ago, lol. (All I do *remember* is reading the dialogue outloud and telling myself I was practicing my Prose/Drama talents for Speech. /o\)
Damon and Stefan are my new messed up brothers. They are currently making me much more squeeful than my old messed up brothers, which as often as not, just make me grumpy. I'm not sure how that works since Damon is actually pretty evil and Dean is just sort of an asshole, but I guess Dean's niche talents grate faster. :P And Elena is not all bad, and Bonnie is adorable, and I love Katherine, heh.
( Extremely mild spoiler for the show under the cut... )
It doesn't hurt that it'd be fun to vid too. Just like Seeker. ;D
( Extremely mild vid musing under the cut... )
And sparkles! We bought some X-mas lights! Been in this house for seven X-mases, and never hung a single decoration. Unless you count the one time I took all the candy canes my mom put in my stocking and hung them from anything that was sticking out of the wall. I still had candy canes on door frames in July.
I expect that pattern will continue. I have pretty pink lights and silver tinsel on my living room archway, tinsel wrapped around my stairway railing with more left to put up, and multi-colored lights and tinsel around and across the living room ceiling. Anyone who thinks I'm taking it down in a month has never visited my house. If anything I'm going to go drag the fake neon signs from here and here out of my storage room and try to hang them up. XD
But Corki is *a lot* harder to impress than I am. (Bonus tiny Lily in the background! ::waves::)
Oh, and thank you to the people that sent the snowflakes after my first mention of them. *g* And to deejay for the adorable Cthuluclaus! I may have gotten a few tossed around myself. ::could totally quit doing things anonymously if she wanted to...maybe::

| Another IM conversation that made me laugh |
[14 Dec 2009|12:28am] |
An IM conversation I had with Favorite Co-worker after narrowly avoiding death while on my way to buy creamers for coffee for work:
HIM: I could go to sleep right now.
ME: lol ME: curl up under the desk HIM: do you think I would get in trouble if I curled up under the desk HIM: ? ME: I will ok it for you ME: dude, I almost dies at lunch today
HIM: why did you almost dies?
ME: a car ran a red and I was coming through the intersection to go to Superstore to get creamers ME: damn creamers ME: I had to veer wildly to avoid death, and he didn't even brake ME: so you are all lucky. LUCKY I SAY ME: right now I'd be an episode of ER and you guys would have no creamers. Oh, the HUMANITY
HIM: ARE THE CREAMERS OK???
ME: lol! ME: hahahah, I am dying ME: I have to save this conversation forever

Restless today. Resssst-lessss. ::twitches:: And really unmotivated. I got the sidewalks cleaned off, walked the dog, and made femmenerd's awesome pie (only with apples intead of pears). So I have pie anyway.
And the pie is really really good, even if I had to take it out of the oven too soon, so I could run an errand. We taste-tested it anyway. Oops? :D It's back in the oven now so the apples can finish cooking and the filling can set, but mmmmmmm. The pomegranate is the best kind of tangy. Made for a better partner to the apples than even cranberries, and for me, that's saying something. ;) And the almond topping tastes like cookies! I didn't have sliced almonds, so I just chopped up some whole almonds, but it's the extract that really adds the little punch.
( Unbaked photographic evidence behind the cut..since I screwed up the baked evidence. )
And now I will go back to waiting for Dexter to show up.
::resumes twitching::

I downloaded a lot of TV to my computer: Buffy season 6, Boys Don't Cry, Lost seasons 3-5 because someone at the daycare told me it was worth watching (I gave up after season 2), Merlin the first episode, Queer As Folk US seasons 1-2, Skins season 1, New Moon (fuck off, don't make fun of me), Veronica Mars season 1 and the latest episodes of Dollhouse.
In addition, I bought four new books, so now I have eight books to read. Yes, this is going to be one lovely winter :)
Oh and yeah, I ordered this DVD.

You guys, I love Legend of the Seeker. It's adorable and hot and adorably hotly bad in ways that make me really happy. And Darken Rahl is an elf in his spare time, and Zed is "THE TRAINMAN, OMG HE'S THE TRAINMAN! I WANTED TO BE THE TRAINMAN!" (courtesy of radixiscat), and Kahlan has red curly hair in her spare time (and freckles and cleavage ALL OF THE TIME), and Cara and Richard have adorable accents that they don't get to use and are also very very hot and should have sexxors already. IT IS AWESOME.
I should not drink when I watch Seeker, because it makes me talk over things.
On a related note Glee would have been better if I had drank during aaaaalllll of the episodes and not just this last one. And radixiscat said, "Yeah, then you could have talked through ninety *eight* percent of them." Which I insist would have been an improvement. While I am addicted to the trainwreckyness that keeps me downloading the eps, I am not so secretly hoping that having no more until April cures me. ( Brief ranty Glee spoiler! ) AND, WILL, I HATE YOUR FACE.)
::adds "Don't post about shows after wine." to some kind of list thing::
Oops, too late. I should have tried to be more interpretive and less judgmental. Through my art. \o/
( ART FEELINGS ARE BORING. RICHARD AND CARA KISSING WOULD BE AWESOME. )
Yeah, that was way more subtler.

Okay, I'm flattered at receiving five of those snowflakes in the past two days, but really, WHY?
These things cost money!
I don't want you guys to spend money on me.
(Apparently these things don't cost money - BUT STILL.)
So while I am flattered - please stop.
